Hunter Area Pathology Service is a local pathology service situated within the John Hunter Hospital campus. Our comprehensive service extends to support the pathology needs of the Hunter Region with all revenue being invested back into the local Public Health Care Service.
To assist in servicing the diagnostic needs of local business, Hunter Area Pathology has introduced an industrial service that focuses on occupational health and safety testing and urine drug screen analysis.
Our industrial service has been accredited by the National Association of Testing Authorities Australia and our drug screening analysis complies with the set Australian Standard (AS/NZ 4308:2001).
We believe our new service will effectively assist in the management of work-place safety. Our service is flexible, innovative and utilises leading edge technology. Expert advice and clinical consultation is also provided by our onsite scientists and chemical pathologist.
