Infection Control
Consultancy
HAPS provides expert consultant advice on infection prevention and control issues in health care and other settings. Arrangements can be made for site visits if required. Contact the Medical Director, Infection Control, for further information (02 49214422).
Testing for Immunisation Immunity
HAPS provides serological testing to document immunity against Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Rubella, Varicella zoster and other viruses. Advice is also available on immunisation requirements in different occupational settings. For more information about this service contact Lynn Clark by e-mail or phoning 02 49214000 or 1800 801949.

Environmental Testing
HAPS is accredited by the Therapeutics Goods Administration for sterility testing of bone bank tissue samples and the serological testing of bone/tissue donors.
HAPS also provides non-accredited environmental testing of samples taken for quality assurance of endoscopes used in medical care. Testing is performed in line with the current recommendations of the Gastroenterological Society of Australia (GENCA).
For other environmental microbiological testing, the specific needs should be discussed with the Director of Microbiology before submitting specimens. Contact the Director of Microbiology for further information (02 49214420).
